The hotel was running an analogue TV system with tens of decoders serving guest rooms, a mass of coaxial cables crossing the hotel walls to connect rooms TVs to channels without saying how poor quality the image was plus a headache from its troubleshooting in case of failure; it was not only annoying to guest but also a challenge to hotel reputation. In order to enhance the hospitality guest experience with access news, sports and showbiz on an HD TV image, Micro Focus with Hospitality Consultant System ltd from Kenya designed and implemented a complete infotainment solution made. We installed hospitality IP TV that runs on OTRUM a leading provider of interactive solutions, digital signage, TV channels, movies and guest internet access to the hospitality industry, replace all decoders with a control Dell server and an IKUSI Flow Base IPTV HeadEnd (leading solution provider for the management of TV and Video Signal) to distribute Tv channels via an installed Gigabit LAN a customized DSTV hotel bouquet is now on Hotel Guest room TVs through an HD image.

We used a 40KVA APC UPS (APC, a number one manufacturer in the world of uninterruptible power supplies UPS, electronics peripherals and data center products) to connect all equipment of the conference room including lights, audio visual and network.
The newly constructed Rubavu Port on the shores of Lake Kivu in Nyamyumba Sector, RUBAVU district in western province, which is anticipated to enhance tourism and facilitate cross-border trade between Rwanda and neighboring country. A mega civil works executed by local engineering firm CEC.
As a new facility infrastructure to operate on a level of port industry with a massive movement of both people and machines will be registered every day, to ensure its security and safety of passengers and staff present on the port Video surveillance plays a crucial role. Micro Focus with Afrillot ltd a local and regional company in logistics and technology designed and implemented a complete CCTV surveillance solution of the port, full HD network cameras were installed and connected to a dedicated CCTV network in regards to not interfere with rest of other Port installation. We installed colored HIK network cameras equipped with IR night mode, connected to PoE switches and uplinked with fiber optic cables to ensure maximum video signal traffic without any single loss, storage of terra bytes was also installed to make it possible. A set of monitors were mounted in control room to give a clear centralized viewing point which is different to what is done mostly on many CCTV where a single monitor is used as a viewing for more than 70 cameras.
